Rishi Kapoor as Dawood Ibrahim.Rishi Kapoor’s look in Nikhil Advani’s next directorial film, D-Day, is sure to generate some curiosity.

Although his character is rumoured to have been inspired by don, Dawood Ibrahim, the makers insist he is playing the part of a man called Goldman, who works for the Research and Analysis

Wing (R&AW). However, they do add that his role is that of India’s ‘most wanted man’.

“He’s playing a fictional character, but the part does draw inspiration from our history,” says a source, adding that casting Kapoor was not easy. “He was initially sceptical, but after the look test, he didn’t need any more convincing. He knew he was the right choice.”
